Reiki Outcall Appointments
There are times when it's not possible for clients to come to my office to receive Reiki. They may be in the hospital or receiving at-home care for major medical problems and debilitating illness.
Outcall appointments are now available, provided the following conditions are met:
1. If in hospital, the hospital policy must allow me to work with the patient in this way, and the attending physician must give permission.
2. There needs to be someone present when I'm doing the session to attend to the patient's needs, because I'm not a nurse and don't have the training to deal with problems or emergencies that may arise.
3. The patient must not be contagious. If a contagious condition exists, we can arrange to do long-distance Reiki.
Allowing the Warrior to Rest
This service is especially helpful for those dealing with cancer or similar serious illnesses. Reiki is an exeptionally gentle, comforting and peaceful form of energy work (hands-on or hands-above the patient), and serves to relax and reduce stress as well as supporting the healing process. Cancer in particular tends to put people into "battle" mode, not only against the disease but just to get through the intense treatments. Receiving Reiki and light acupressure allows the inner "warrior" to rest and recoup.
Please note that outcall service is available ONLY for Reiki and basic acupressure, and ONLY for people who are not physically able to come to my office. I do not offer outcall massage.
As with in-office appointments, payment is expected at the time of visit. My outcall rate is $50 per half hour within Davis. Add $10 if the outcall is in Woodland, and $20 if in Vacaville or Sacramento to allow for my travel time.
Long Distance Reiki
This comes free upon request when you have had an in-office on on-site Reiki session. If on-site isn't feasible, or the client is contagious, I offer long-distance Reiki. For this, an appointment for a specific time is arranged and payment is made in advance. Sessions range from 15 - 30 minutes. Rate is $20-$40.
I am in the process of forming a Reiki circle where people can come to my office to receive Reiki on a donation basis, or can be put on a "Reiki recipient" list for those in the circle to include in their minds and hearts during the circle. This will probably begin in Spring 2007.
