 For Certified Massage Therapists:

How to Relieve Migraine Headaches
This class is for certified bodyworkers only.
Date and time TBA, October 2007.

Class size is limited to 9 due to space considerations.

$150 (includes class materials)

Note:  This class can count towards continuing education requirements for ABMP members but are not CEUs, which have to be given through an state-accredited institution. At the end of class, you'll be given a Certification of Completion.  This class doesn't count towards any AMTA continuing education requirements.

In this class you'll learn an integrative approach to relieving  migraine headaches using a combination of acupressure, muscle balancing, and massage.  We'll cover migraine triggers from a Western perspective and then explore how these types of headaches are viewed in Traditional Chinese Medicine patterns of disharmony.  You'll also be introduced to basic Emotional Freedome Technique, and some passive stretching techniques.

Topics covered include:

• Introduction to the 12 organ meridians
• Potent points used for migraine relief
• Introduction to muscle balancing
• Passive stretching techniques to relieve migraine
• Introduction to Emotional Freedom Technique to undo a migraine before it gets started
• Review of common migraine triggers
• How to relieve nausea with acupressure
• How to recognize and rebalance common TCM patterns of disharmony for migraines.

Pre-registration is required.  Please call (530) 758-4556 to reserve your space!  I already have one table; please let me know if you can bring a table.  We only need two;  one of the hands-on practice will be how to release a migraine on-site for clients without a table.
