Intuitive studies. Ms. Fiore began developing her intuitive abilities in the early 1990s, becoming certified as a Michael channel. Since then, she has continued studies in alternative
healing philosophies which have centered on guided visualization,
intuitive development, and how to channel and direct energy for personal growth
and healing work, including helpful insights and tools from the Celtic and Toltec traditions. She has also taken and repeated the Intuitive Development class series offered by Alice Hiatt, R.N. of Berkeley, CA.
American Herbalist Guild, general membership level.
Dance/Movement/Yoga Jan began dancing in 1971 and has continued with dance and
movement since that time. She has trained in Modern, Ballet and Jazz.
In 1991, she began taking classes at the Pamela
Trokanski Dance Workshop in Davis, CA, where she's studied Modern, Dance
Improvisation, Earth Rhythms, Hip Hop and Yoga.
Jan is the instructor of the Dance for Health, Yoga for Health and Movement For Health classes offered at the Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop. Movement for Health draws upon a variety of movement
styles, including modern dance, t'ai chi, ballet, yoga, with a dash of
hip hop. The focus is on unblocking stuck "chi", encouraging general
circulation, gently building strength and flexibility, both mind and
body, by learning simple movement sequences.
Students feel invigorated
and upbeat after class, not depleted. Dance for Health uses introductory/beginning level dance sequences and exercises to accomplish the same thing and is a bit more active, while Movement for Health includes a relaxation component. Yoga for Health is a beginning/continuing class which serves to increase and balance the flow of energy in the body while gently building strength and flexibility. To find out more, click here
